When the past becomes the future

Greetings!

I was online during the free play time when the servers transferred from GoA to Mythic scouting for some friends of the past. I ran into some Banana Bunnies, Nazgul and other real ancient guilds, but sadly none from Defiance, and so the hope of a return of times long past dwindled.

DAoC is a strange game. It always lures in the back of your head as the greatest MMO. Somehow every MMO played since has always turned out not to be able to deliver what DAoC did. DAoC was the greatest and I have often since pondered why.

A large part of it, I have concluded, was the atmosphere and the timing of the game. The internet was different back then. But one of if not the most important factor were the people playing - Defiance.

So, it is with great joy I stumbled upon the old domain, defiance-daoc.tk, and saw a brand new forum and names of the past.

So, how are you all? How is Defiance? How is Ywain?

In less than a week I will graduate and have some extra spare time. Expect Alturiak to once again roam the lands of Midgard.

i agrree 105,049% agree, nothing really beat daoc in the end, u play for a month and enjoy, but then its dull again..

I'm in a bit of a trouble account-wise tho. I might be doing something wrong or missed something entirely.

During the free time I used the special eu-accounts.eamythic.com, but that site just redirects to the US login now. The US account page doesn't accept my game account name and password. Do I have to transfer my account somehow?

When I try to recover my password it says my master account name and e-mail address doesn't match. But I know they do.

This might be very helpfull or not helpfull at all but you must add _eu on your game login and master login.

Just two days late. I eventually found out about the _EU suffix. But it took me ages, and I nearly reopened the wrong account thinking I had changed the username somehow. Haha.

Wonder why Mythic haven't updated the EU -> US faq.
